Air Duct Cleaning

Many people ask me about the benefits of cleaning air ducts in their homes and buildings.

A dirty HVAC system and duct work can be a cause of poor indoor air quality in a property. Cleaning air ducts properly can greatly improve the indoor air quality of your home or building.

I recommend performing air quality testing of the property and surface sampling of the ducts before you have the system cleaned. This will help determine if the ducts are actually a source of an indoor air quality concern. This can also prevent you paying for a costly service that may not be necessary.

In addition, if the air quality testing and sampling inspection does detect an indoor air quality issue prior to HVAC/Duct work cleaning, you will have baseline data established for your property. Having this baseline data established is essential in making sure that clearance of the possible contaminants has been achieved after the cleaning has been completed.

This article from the Fond Du Lac Reporter is a great reference on the topic of air duct/HVAC cleaning.
